Love to God needs pure and honest heart
to move successfully on spiritual path.
Because only in that case the pace of the path may be maintained
so that it may properly lead to divine attainments.

But normally we fail to maintain the serenity of our spiritual heart
and
keep our mind totally inclined in enjoyment of sensual pleasures
even if it is to be availed with most difficult inverted mode
in
poisonous current of passions.
