Dharm is an obligation-a sacred trust…!!!

The unreal never exists and the real is never without existence at any time.
God alone is real, permanent, indestructible, changeless, and eternal,
but
he is beyond thought, imperceptible and quite above the fluttering of mind.

Action is the name of the mode
by
which a man attains to God after subduing his mind.
Putting this mode into practice is Dharm, which is a trust or obligation.
This “Dharm” is only one for entire mankind.

Bhagavad Gita sings:

“Since selfless action neither wears out the seed from which it sprang nor has any adverse consequence, even a partial observance of it liberates one from the dire terror of repeated birth and death.”

So the undertaking of this action is Dharm.

A man attains to ultimate liberation by worshipping God
well according to his inborn inclination.
In other words, only remembering and meditating on God
by the appointed mode is Dharm.

To dedicate oneself thus to God is Dharm.
The process by which the Self is enabled to attain to the Supreme Being is Dharm.

The awareness, that comes to sages after their hunger for union with God has been quenched because of their achievement of the ultimate state, is the only reality in all of creation. So we have to seek refuge in these men of enlightenment and wisdom in order to learn how we can make our way along the path that leads to final bliss. That path is only one and embarking on it is Dharm.

Dharm is an obligation-a sacred trust.
It is propitious and the mind that applies itself to this enjoined task
is also one and unified.

Bhagavad Gita sings that Offering the functions of the senses and the operations of the life-winds to the fire of yog-self-restraint-kindled by the knowledge of God is Dharm.

With who should I play Holi?

Phalgun (the season of fruitfulness and blessings ), the season of Basant (spring), implies unending intoxication.

The wordily seasons come and go but when the heart is intoxicated,
it lingers forever, the intoxication never wanes.

This is possible only through such attributes which yield good results
but
only destiny (Prarabdh) helps to undertake this process.
Destiny plays special role in such a realisation.

“Basant Ritu Phalgun May Aawe
Khel Yeh Prarabdh Rachawe
Itra Gulal Gyan Rori
Kheltey Bhar Bhar Key Jhori”

Sings my spiritual mentor!

Itra is an aromatic substance like perfume of the material world.
But here it has been taken as a symbol.
After the ultimate realisation of God,
the odour of God starts spreading in the senses of the Yogi.

Gulal and Rori which are used in the world for applying on the forehead
during the festival of Holi, are taken as symbols in yogic system
to convey the application of knowledge which has been conferred by the seers
of such a state.
This state emerges in the heart,
so the wallets of the heart remain filled with the spiritual knowledge
as given in the following Shloka :-

Om Purnamadah Poornamidam Purnat Purnamudachyate
Purnasya Purnamadaya Purnamewavshishyate.

This means when the whole is removed from the whole, the balance remains whole and it does not get depleted.

Now sings and adds most revered Gurudeo :

Holi Avidya Phook Key
Ho Gaye Guptanand
Samjhey Koi Sughar Veveki
Kya Samjhe Matimand

Jagat Ki Dhool Uri Khasi
Lavni Sun Barahmasi

After burning bonfire (Holi) of nescience the sage attains the state of Immortal Bliss. He merges with that which is occult, which is the fountain of Bliss
and
which is Impersonal.
Only the enlightened can know it, not the dunces.

All the dirt of worldliness and of the mundane existence now blew away completely. The mortality of the animate existence is vanished
and
Supreme Consciousness has started operating.

Try to understand and go through the process of Lagan (Devotion)
which grants communion with Supreme consciousness
and
remain engaged in the pursuits till the end is achieved.
After that you have not to do anything.

“Harijan Bhajan Bhed Sey Nyara”

The Bhajan of such a devotee is unique.

Aankh Na Moonde Kaan Na Rundhe Kaaya Kasht Na Dharey
Ughare Naina Saheb Dekhe Sunder Badan Nihare

~ (Kabir)~

There is no need to close the eyes or shut the ears.
Also there is no need of physical penance.
The open eyes visualise the charming form of Saheb (Lord).
Now the Bhajan is no more needed still it continues.

It has been said to burn all your nescience through devotion!!!

Vidya (knowledge) naturally vanishes
the moment the contact with God is established.
Your efforts are not needed for its annihilation.
After the culmination of Yoga, it happens so (only Avidya is burnt)!!!

The great sage has purposely concluded in this way
so that the seekers do not get confused. The seeker has to destroy only Avidya through the prescribed practices.Vidya automatically disappears instantly

with the divine touch or the contact of divinity!!!

On this great occasion
of
” Holi………Festival of Colours”,

I Bow down to your lotus feet O’ revered Gurudev,

With all my heartfelt humble wishes for “HOLI”to all my friends!!!

Let us pray to God to colour us….with HIS colour of oneness
and
to play His HOLI with us
till this cycle of our birth and death ends!!!

Holi...!!!  http://youtu.be/I5sshplSJh0
