These are beautiful sentiments but since they were posted on the Buddhist Network I will reply that The Buddha never spoke of a God or Self and instead taught there is no ‘Self’. This is a significant difference between the teachings of the Buddha and other spiritual teachings. May all beings be free and happy.
Perhaps a Good Read such as my book on Buddha’s Teachings will help clarify this point -http://www.amazon.com/Buddhas-Teachings-Seeing-without-Illusion/dp/1909985007
I think that what really Buddha spoke and taught must be understood in lotus feet of any totally accomplished and enlightened sage [Real Buddha] instead of what it is written in some books or being followed by Buddhist disciples?
Secrets of spiritual austerities can only be understood at a certain height of elevation by self meditative practices under strict disciplines.
All the enlightened sages have found the same truth at the end and they have never differed in their findings.Yes…mode of presentation may differ because of the language, situation, places and some other prevailing unavoidable conditions. It is we who differ because of our own ignorances.
